–––––––––––HE HAD A reputation that was often seen as disastrous. people knew him as the boy that drank too much, slept around a little too much, and didn’t give a fuck. it was always an amusing scene. and that was truly around everyone except the other. the other was his best friend from home. they meant too much to him for him to act like an actual idiot around them. so when they were visiting, his demeanor changed and his frat brothers were teasing him, laughing at how he wasn’t the same, but also how they almost didn’t recognize him. shrugging them off, he had his full attention towards the other.          ‘ did you wanna do something specific tonight ? ’          he almost didn’t want to suggest the party the house was throwing tonight.

to say he wasn’t expecting it was an understatment. because it only took a moment before they were swarmed. brooklyn paused looking around at the slowly forming ocean around them, cameras flashed, and were being shoved far to close in his personal space for comfort. how could this even be real? instinctively he embraced her, pushing their trolly forward. “ally, what the fuck is going on?”

                  " going to a . . . what ?? “ he suppressed the bitter look on his face, responding to kai as if he were speaking of a language he didn’t even know. don’t get him wrong, wren was feeling pretty flattered that the other was considerate enough to invite him to this rowdy get-together as he would call it, and while he did claim that he wanted him to let loose and have fun with or without him --- there was just no fucking way. they weren’t even boyfriends, so he obviously had no right to tell kai what he could and couldn’t do, which was exactly why he left his statements open-ended. negatively open-ended. “ you’re not actually going to that thing, are you ?? that place is like . . . infested with std’s from people coming from god knows where. bloody hell, kai. “ the briton exclaimed, as his rather aggressive attempts were more of his desperation for him to stay. “ listen to me, i’m the best influence you’ve got, but if you plan to return with chlamydia or whatever, then be my guest. “  @highcnlife​

“you know what i really wish i could have?” he’s thinking aloud, which is something he so often does when he’s comfortable in the present company. now, is no exception to that rule. fingers tap against his abdomen casually, as he looks over at the other to see if they’re going to attempt to answer his question, or if he’s going to have to continue to ramble more to himself. / @highcnlife​

             “   how  long  are  you  going  to  make  me  wait,   ”     emerson  pouted,   dramatically  falling  onto  his  lap.   perhaps  the  game  she  was  playing  wasn’t  entirely  fair  ––  after  all,   she  hadn’t  even  tried  to  get  her  brother  to  agree  to  let  her  daughter  meet  her  new  man.   despite  how  sure  she  was,   or  so  she  said.   maybe  there  was  some  hesitance,   but  it  was  buried,   hidden  away  too  far  for  her  to  notice  it,   let  alone  admit  to  it.     “   you  said  you’d  break  up  with  her  weeks  ago,   why  do  you  still  go  home  to  her  ?   ”
