okay take two since the first one didn’t come through… i’ve just been having a lot of brainrot about rain’s gills. like several days worth. just imagining putting one hand on one side of his neck to stop the smoke coming out of the gills on that side. maybe a hand on his mouth depending on how well he’s able to keep it together. mouth on the gills just quite literally taking the smoke and breath out of his lungs. maybe make a game out of it. see how long it takes for him to go fuzzy—either from the weed or the Other Thing. see how long everyone involved can pretend it’s all an innocent thing before rain actually loses it.
i’ve definitely been thinking about this all causally, obviously
dew sees the smoke puffing out from his gills and he leans in to take it right from the source. the second his lips come in contact with rain's gills the water ghoul goes practically boneless. once the tip of his tongue slips in, just for fun at this point, rain's finished.
