Governments and Their Duties
I have been thinking again, and that could mean some off-the-wall stuff. Now, I am about as far from an anarchist as you can get; no society, civilized or uncivilized (whatever those terms mean), can exist without some form of government. I get that. However, the proper role of government in a society has been debated for millenia. That debate will not be settled here. Nevertheless, I offer the following postulates: If you think about it, most of the very serious issues facing the US society today seem to have had their origins in government policies. I will not enumerate them, but check those issues off in your mind, and post the exceptions you can think of on this blog.
