Happy Book Birthday to "High-Five to the hero”!! My latest book hits bookstores today and I couldn’t be more excited. Written by @vitamurrow and published by @quartokids , it’s been a labour of love with 96 pages of watercolor and gouache illustrations.

It retells fifteen classic hero stories with an intersectional feminist treatment, showing boys there are many ways to be a hero. It’s the perfect ocompanion for “Power to the Princess”

And on a shallow note, doesn’t it look amazing with it’s gold embossed cover together with “Power to the Princess”? The magpie in me is happy! ✨ . .

Hi guys! Here I introduce you to Arthur and Hercules, two of the 15 characters of my next book, “High-Five to the hero”, the analog for “Power to the Princess”. Written by @vitamurrow, it will be published by the awesome team of @quartokids this October, but it’s already available for preorder on many online stores ✨

I’m specially proud of this book, as I normally don’t draw many boys and illustrating these guys was a huge challenge for me. Now I feel much more confident drawing men, and I’m so glad I stood out of my comfort zone!
