She's our earthy, tree climbing, Messy Marvin clunky child and is perfect in every way. Lucille Ball would be her BFF. She is extremely creative, so we just let her do ALLLL the decorating... and she was out on the front porch, happily stringing lights, I was inside looking through recipes for Christmas dinner, when I heard a THUD and IMMEDIATELY knew... The door opens as I'm standing up and she confirms, laughing at herself but holding her arms, "YEP. I fell off the porch into the bushes." We confirm nothing is broken, look at each other kind of laughing but then I remind her, "Now hold on, your histamine bucket is about to go CRAZY from all the adrenaline..." "My throat is already tight." So yes she is lying down, resting, and we are just going to keep her quiet... often histamine loads can take days for her to start feeling good again... at least we will have a funny memory of this medical challenge... MERRY CHRISTMAS, Y'all. xo

BEAUTIFUL walk/run with the #AlphaGal #HighHistamine girl! #Foraged persimmons and sumac (for middle eastern food), and reflected on how a year ago this kid couldn't go for walks and was living in the E.R. Grateful she is *slowly* gaining strength and healing. She has good days and terrible days, but today is a good day.
Deep thanks to friends who told me I was not crazy and helped me to make Camp Cornbread happen when it was clear she could not sail due to her medical issues. When her anxiety starts rising, we head out to brush him. As she lunges Cornbread, she gets her own head back on. Panic attacks wane as she works on her project horse. She leaves her horse happy and my little girl again. #AlphaGal #HighHistamine #MastCell #FoodAllergies #EquineTherapy
