[Background Info: Girl vs. Monster is a movie about a girl who has lived for 16 years of her life without fear because her demon was sealed away. When she accidentally releases her demon, 16 years of fear coursed through her body and she basically becomes like a normal person: afraid of everything.]
||If you've never watched Girl vs. Monster there are minor spoilers ahead!||
All of class 1-A was curled up in the common room a couple minutes into another movie. They had divided the dozens of blankets and pillows they gathered amongst themselves and filled several bowls with snacks in preparation. Some of them sat on the floor and others on the couch watching the opening to Girl vs. Monster. They made it a tradition to watch a Halloween movie every night before bed for the entire month of October. Finally, they made it to the Disney movies, which were Uraraka's personal favorite. She had a huge smile on her face as they watched the first movie of many that she had planned out for the next few days.
Whenever they watched a new movie someone would give commentary on something that happened every now and then. It was usually a small joke based on something said, or Bakugou yelling at something stupid that someone did.
Jiro tossed some popcorn into her mouth. "It must be crazy to live without fear. You just jump straight into things without thinking. Talk about reckless."
"Yeah..." Ashido agreed. She sat silently for a second. "Hey, Bakugou your about 16 right? Do you know if when you were just a baby your parents who are secretly monster hunters sealed your demon while she was trying to torment you, forever freeing you from the hellish clutches of fear for all eternity?" She had her hand to her chin and looked up at the ceiling deep in thought. Completely oblivious to the fuming boy only a couple of people away from her.
Sero chuckled, "Yeah you really do just plunge headfirst into things. Do you even know the definition of fear?"
"Of course I do! A meaningless concept, known only to those who are stupid and weak!"
An unknown voice came from somewhere in the room. "If he knows what it is, does that make him stupid and weak too?"
"WHAT?!" The room became illuminated with flashes of orange, and popping sounds filled everyone's ears.
Kirishima laughed nervously and patted the boy beside him on the shoulder. He simply grunted and relaxed back into his seat in on the couch.
The majority of the next few minutes of the movie were watched in silence, with small laughs and scoffs every couple of minutes. Everything was peaceful until Kaminari brought up another controversial conversation.
"Hey, guys, I think for Halloween we should all have a scare contest! Ya know to see who's the bravest and stuff."
"That could be fun." Uraraka tilted her head back and finished off the bag of Doritos.
A sly chuckle came from someone else on the couch. "I think it would be entertaining to see some of the strongest people scream out in terror."
Everyone knew who the comment had come from and who it was directed at. They all turned in the direction of the voice, including a very enraged Bakugou who looked about ready to blow his face up. However with Kirishima beside him to calm him down he expressed his anger in only a couple words.
"Icy-hot I swear, scare me and I will punch you!"
He broke out in laughter. "Huh, looks like the Big Bad Bakugou isn't so big and bad after all. You’re a scaredy-cat just like the rest of us.”
The explosive boy lunged at the other jumping over many of the people on the couch in order to hit the other boy. Some of them still getting elbowed or kicked in the face anyway.
Hagakure paused the movie and got up from her now quite an unsafe spot on the floor. "Aww, we only got through 34 minutes before he tried to kill someone this time."
"Hey, that means its a new record!"
