normally, the last thing pete worried about at the end of the day was his art. taking his time on each and every piece, he’d learned to be confident in it; even if his efforts eventually went unnoticed, or were passed off as mere defacement. yet, he still found himself momentarily fidgeting in the others presence, before catching himself and quickly going stiff. eyes dragged up the new mural ( inspecting, nervous, scanning for the tiniest of flaws ), before flitting over to usvani, and he’s trying really hard to sound more enthusiastic than anything right now.

It’s not like Eliza came to bother Usnavi often but on this particular subject, she just wanted to check up on him. He’d asked her advice for Vanessa, and of course Eliza did what she could. She didn’t want to tell Usnavi what to do, but she wanted to guide him. Give him something to base his conversation on when he talked to Vanessa. BUT it’d been a while since she heard anything and she was now invested and wanted to know.
