The last issue of the Heroes Reborn Event Doom was published with a January 2000 cover date. It was the first appearance of the Counter-Earth characters Shakti and Technarx, created by Chris Claremont and Mike McKone. Doom managed to get Counter-Earth transported to the Earth-616 dimension. He arranged to have the Dreaming Celestial to battle it out with Ashema, who had regained her powers. Doom took over as ruler of Counter-Earth. ("Doom", Heroes Reborn: Doom, Marvel Comic Earth)
