My personal Crownrend headcanon is that Juitou will no longer be able to dismiss him early, will probably be compelled to make the con saves to keep him up longer, and may even face repercussions(like taking damage) if crownrend gets dismissed without making a kill.

Oh man, I think you’re onto something with that dismissing without a kill thing.

I very suddenly developed a headcanon that in Cam’s family, fire eaters are highly praised (and generally rare, because dangerous) and as a child Cam looked up to them with wonder and admiration and he was basically just starry eyed around them. They would always warn him that fire was dangerous and needed a steady, serious mind to control and master it, but Cam never listened. Their lessons bored him and were too slow. 

So his main focus is on daggers of course but he’s dabbled in fire tricks, not heeding any lessons the elders tried to teach him about techniques. Sure he’s burned himself a couple times, but never anything serious. 

And then Dimitriv happens.
