Prompt: Y'know how principles sit in classes in the back sometimes? Well imagine that but dark is just in antis class admiring how he teaches art(also work, ig)
“You guys are working on your painting projects today, our goal is to get them done by Friday so we can move on to the next piece,” Anti said after the late bell went off. “So, have at it.” Anti gestured to the class and watched as they went to work. Most of them had already gotten their paintings from the drying rack and the few who hadn’t lined up to grab theirs. Anti hummed when he heard a knock at the open door. “What’s up?” He said to Dark.
“I’m here to do an observation,” Dark stated.
“Cool, pop on in.” Anti sat on the edge of his desk and observed his class for a bit. Some students put in earphones, others enjoyed the quiet. Dark always thought it was strange how peaceful the class could be considering how usually chaotic their teacher was. He was always expecting the students to be shouting or playing around, but they were very good at settling and getting into the art. But Dark had to remind himself that personal and work life can be very different. Although there have been a few interesting...incidents. Dark didn’t trust Anti with chalk anymore.
Anti gave it a good while before he made his round, checking to see how his students were doing. He praised all his students as he went to them, taking a second to talk to each one about what part they were working on and adding some suggestions to them. Anti stopped when he reached Blank, having noticed him being off today.
“So, what’s going on?” Anti asked and crouched down, making sure his voice was soft enough to not draw attention. “You’ve just been staring at your paper the whole period.”
“It looks stupid,” Blank muttered. “I should have done something else but it’s too late.”
“Why do you think it looks stupid?”
“It’s a tree and I can’t get the lines inside of it to look right. They just look like scribbles.” Blank rested his cheek on a closed fist. “I’ve used three whole erasers on this thing.”
“Let’s try something fun.” Anti got up, grabbed Blank’s brush, and dipped it into the black paint. “Make the tree a silhouette.”
“Just paint it black?”
“Yeah. Your background colors look amazing and they’re so bright and vibrant the tree being a solid black would make them pop out even more.” Anti smiled when Blank took the brush. “And keep the heart you have in the middle, it’s really nice and-” Anti lowered his voice again, this time making sure no one could hear him in case someone was eavesdropping. “I know a certain nephew of mine loves rainbows.” Anti giggled when Blank stammered out protests and then stopped in a pout. “You good?”
“Yeah. Thanks.” Blank went straight to work. Anti smiled and went to look for who to talk to next, ending up looking at Dark instead. Dark had a smile of his own and Anti winked at him, getting Dark to roll his eyes but keep the smile.
