This is what Misawa had to say about Taniya. He's eager to see her again. He found a goal to achieve - to improve enough to be a worthy opponent for her. I don't think a relationship mattered to him at this point, as much as being able to improve so he could be her equal or better. He definitely wanted to impress her. Aside from their initial duel, there's nothing to indicate she used her Shadow Charm again. There's no need for it. The all night duels were for her, to determine if he really were good enough to be her husband. Which he wasn't. Even if he had been, we don't know how her tribe deals with marriage and relationships. Assuming he'd be killed or used without emotion is a pretty bad faith take. I really need to work on my story involving Taniya right after she duels Juudai and leading up to her return in season three.

I just got into college. It's a community college & I still have a lot to sort out, but one day I might be able to either help my roommate more than I have been able to, or even support myself one day. But I'm well into my 50s & I'm going to be taking college classes.

I'm not sure if I believe this is happening.

So, I'm currently in the hospital. I'm not sick or injured; this was planned. I've had mild bouts of aphasia since 2017, when I had my stroke, so we're trying to find out as much as possible about exactly what's causing them & if medication can improve matters. I'm going to be in here until no later than Saturday. I'm not alone; my roommate @healingmichiko is staying with me. My plush Emolga & plush Grumpy Bear are also with me. I also have my laptop so I can work on my sorting & see how that goes. On January 1, I have something in mind I'll be posting.

What's most annoying is that the very first test is sleep deprivation. Which is also *good* because the aphasia hits hard when I'm tired. It's just annoying because I'm used to taking a nap in the afternoon & I'm *tired*. I have to wait until midnight before I can rest.

Oh, I also finished my first semester of community college, passed my classes, & decided medicine is *not* for me. Next semester (January) I'll begin learning computer programming. This will involve algebra & math has never been a strong suit for me but I'll do my best!

Having read some commentary on the scene with Takeru & Ken/Kaiser in 02, it sparked an old thought about this interaction but in my hybrids-verse. As a reminder, this means Ken is Piemon's son. He usually doesn't know this at this particular point in the series. But that doesn't mean Akogimon, his dark side, isn't aware & watching.

So, Takeru goes in for the hit. And the Kaiser *catches his fist*. Oh, let me be accurate: Akogimon does. And he smiles. He finds this amusing. He warns Takeru that the Chosen don't actually know who they're dealing with anymore. And to send his greetings to their brother. (Yamato is Ken's brother on their father's side, Takeru's on their mother's side). Then he leaves.

Akogimon is a *lot* more dangerous than Chimeramon. This might end the Kaiser arc but it begins the Akogimon arc. And any hybrid, once they awaken to who they are, can tell another hybrid once they're close enough. Certain other information is coded into their data as well (such as Akogimon knowing Yamato is their brother).

How this affects the characters of the later arcs I'm not sure yet. I do know that Demon treads *very* carefully around the hybrids. But I've always enjoyed the look I imagine on Takeru's face when he realizes that instead of the angry child he thought he was dealing with, he's looking into the face of someone as powerful as his brother. And far, far less stable. They're going to have to rethink their entire strategy to deal with this.

And then there are the secrets lurking in Daisuke's data...

Anyway, I do intend to write this one day. But I don't know when.

Just a little reminder that I'm probably going to put into my pinned post: I'm going to delete a *lot* of my fics off Tumblr. I haven't yet made the final decision on when the cut off point is but for now, if it's before 2026, there's a good chance it's going. So exercise discretion on reblogging anything. It might not be there forever. Some I might repost but some I won't. I will announce when I've got it all settled. That will probably be in March when I'm on spring break & have a little more time.

Thank you. I'm glad people still want to reblog my work but with the changes I have in mind, I feel it's safer to wait.

This blog is a Taniya (from YGO GX) safe zone. I like her as a character, whether or not she & Misawa are a couple. We do not know her age or how her species (which may or may not be human) ages. We know she never hurt Misawa because he wouldn't respect her if she had. You don't have to like the character or the ship. But it isn't any of the insulting names it's been called or is being called.

And I will always be a Tigershipper, though my preferred timeframe for anything beyond words is a minimum of 5 years post-canon.
