Becca hadn’t really known what to expect from tonight, but she was definitely glad she’d come. She was surrounded by good friends, good food, and soon there would be good music. Nibbling on a chocolate strawberry she’d picked up at the pre-concert reception, she put down the rest on her plate and asked, “How long until it starts, do you think?”

“why are there no VIP seats?” →  open

Blair wrinkled her nose as a sweaty body moved too close to her, brushing against her perfectly ironed dress and making her wrinkle her nose in disgust. “Ugh, why are there no VIP seats?” she asked the person next to her as she side-stepped to try to find a little bit of personal space.  “This whole like, free for all viewer pit is so not my style?”

Adam sat in the corner, trying to be discrete as he drank out of a bottle. He noticed someone had crept up on his side, “You want some?” He held out the bottle, “I nicked it from one of the bartenders when some Muggleborn asked him for a Shirley Temple and he was busy looking it up on his phone. It’s dragon barrel whiskey, not sure what that means but it’s quite good.” He gave the bottle a little shake, “C’mon now, I don’t have cooties.”

“Okay question,” Brian started to the person nearest to him, “Do you think I can go get food and come back so that my spot’ll still be here? Or am I going to have to fight off a bunch of people in the crowd...because I’m not really about that life. But what I am is really hungry,” he wondered.

“I will never get indie music.” Kelsey shook her head at the stage. “Why do the musicians all want to look like hobos.” She turned towards the person standing next to her. “And what is with their facial hair choices? I’m just physically repulsed by looking at them. Which I know is shallow coming from a girl who spends so much time tracking dirt, etc. into the castle but that’s a hazard of my career ambitions.” She cringed at the singer again, “Not a personal choice.”

Due to low enrollment in their summer internship program, the Wizarding Wireless Network - also known as the WWN - will be holding a recruitment event this Saturday, March 25th. While they hope to up their student involvement, the concert is open to everyone who merely signs up for their online newsletter.

To sweeten the deal, WWN has secured the Dung Beetles to headline the event. For those of you who don’t know, the Dung Beetles are an upcoming indie band led by former solo artist, Barnaby Wolfhart. The group has released two records so far Ghouls of my Dreams and Billywig High and are working on a third, currently untitled album. Their sound has been described by Muggleborns as similar to the Neon Trees.

The open house for the WWN Concert will begin at 5 PM EST on Saturday, March 25th while the concert itself will begin at 7 PM EST. At this point, roleplay members may tag starters with hihevent2 and hiheventstart if they wish to have their characters attend this event. This will be a dash event, but starters made in these tags must be treated as if they are happening in person at the concert. We recommend all starters be posted by Tuesday, March 28th, but characters can keep playing out their threads as long as the like.
