that, by virtue of birth, by virtue of her magical ability, she must forfeit all power, all control, all agency over her own existence. no. she can and shall be both a serious political contender as well as a first enchanter, a powerful mage as is her birthright. no man, no institution, can curb that ambition, that drive for better and greater things.

✲ Something or someone they down right hate 

complacency and irrelevance are two of the things she hates, and, by extension, are manifestations of her worst fears. to be taken from this world and have no one remember her, to die, in memory, and body, terrifies her as much as anything can. which is to say, she fights to be worthy of history, of remembrance, you will know her name and know it well. complacency, with the status quo (e.g. the circle and the manner in which it functions), is something equally despised.
