Shetland Pony vs American Shetland?

hikolu replied to your post: hey so like, long story short i put *all* my data...
Shit, that’s terrible. Do you have to send it to Seagate? My partner is computer scientist and I’m sure there is a way you could do it yourself for free. Would depend on how much computer knowledge you have yourself.
I’ve looked at my options and because its like, *all* my stuff that i’m really keen on keeping, i don’t wanna risk ruining it and losing the data. stuff like videos of my dad sayin happy birthday to me when i was younger n stuff means a ton to me and i dont wanna lose that
i popped it open to take a look at the head and theres no burn ring/scratch, the reader isnt stuck. it DOES power on but so faintly my computer doesnt register it, even if i pop it in another external case with a power supply. my guess is the mobo is just....dying, or like, pretty dead, and i’d be fine with buying a reader to see if thats the case but like i said i dont wanna ruin the thing :^(
i wanna trust that seagate’ll fix it. i chatted w a dude about it there and he said hes seein pretty bad cases of hard drives being warped/damaged and they managed to retrieve data off, and mine isnt damaged just...dyin so..im willing to pay it but god thats a big smack on my wallet yknow :^/
For the ask thingo 13, 17 and 20 :)
Already answered 13 and 17!
20. One piece of advice/training you were given by a trainer or mentor that you look back on now and view it as incorrect?
It’s always the rider’s fault. That statement gave me a huge amount of anxiety, until I realized it’s possible for horses to just have a bad day and not listen, or for something bad to happen and it’s no one’s fault. Things happen, and sometimes there’s no one to blame.
My assumption for the post thingo is that you ride english rather than western.
You’re right! Though I do ride my boss’s horses western when she asks, I ride my own horses english. =)

I've tried contacting Star Stable Support directly and via their FB page and gotten no response so I was wondering if you would have any ideas on how to fix a problem I'm having. I've recently upgraded my PC to have an SSD as it's primary hard-drive so I've had to reinstall Star Stable, the problem I am now getting is that whenever I go to launch the game, either via the desktop launcher or the website it downloads a ~600mb update each time. Do you have any ideas?
I'm sorry, honestly I have no idea but I will try to help! Could it be that the files get installed into a temporary folder of sorts and just get trashed every time you quit playing (a wild guess)? Do you experience problems with other games? If so try looking up the symptoms online. Or just keep spamming SSO (directly), eventually someone must reply!
