HilCee Wedding or Death 💜
Hilda’s wedding 😭😭😭 SHE LOOKS SO PRETTY
I do have to wonder if it’s...the real one tho. There was a thing in an article about a “sham wedding” that’s interrupted by one of the Terrors (apparently looking like a homeless man)...so this could be an illusion or another alternate universe. Because honestly, how much time is supposed to have actually passed between parts 3 and 4? Enough to actually plan this wedding??
That aside though, I’m so very confused by the placements here. Why is Zelda not next to her sister? Why is Marie at the family table, seemingly instead of Sabrina and in the place that we’d think would be for the Maid of Dishonor? Even if Zelda has to officiate the wedding as high priestess, why wouldn’t Sabrina take that role? I hope there’s a good explanation, but I’m not a fan.
I really want to try and figure our some dirty & sweet headcanons with Hilda, so ask me and/or suggest me them
Any thoughts? Just dm me, we'll figure it out ;)
So like, being possessed by a demon, does Dr. Cee still have a mortal lifespan ooor?
[le prompt] "Hilda, dearest? That tarot lady from before is out front, she says she gave you a rain check? She does seem quite anxious."
“Oh is she now? I’d nearly forgotten about her. I’ll be out in a mo’ darling,” Hilda replied, slowly replacing the jar of rock candy on the pantry shelf. She toddled out, a smile on her face as she greeted the fortune teller. When the strange woman had last wandered in, Hilda could sense that she was no charlatan, that she did indeed possess great magic; greater perhaps, than even Zelda or Edward. The elder woman turned, meeting Hilda’s gaze with a slightly nervous twitch to her eye. She looked nearly the same, wrapped in shawls and thick jewelry, the colorful stack of tarot cards clutched in her palm.
“Hello again! How nice of you to drop in! Would you like some tea, or something to eat?” Hilda asked, gesturing towards the counter. The woman shook her head, a quick smile flashing across her face.
“No thank you dear. I was in town and remembered I owed you a reading. One must always stick by their word… what else do we have, if not honor?” she said smoothly, sitting once again at the round table by the bookshelves. She gestured for Hilda to sit across from her, slowly shuffling the cards as she glanced nervously out the window. Hilda caught this, but the stiffness in the woman’s body language told her she was best not to comment. The fortune teller (Hilda had yet to learn her name) took a deep breath and focused on the stack in her hands, taking a few more moments to shuffle before pulling the topmost card and flipping it, laying it in front of Hilda.
“The Four of Wands...how wonderful for you, Hilda Spellman.”
--
Nearly half an hour later the fortune teller exited the shop, a rather pleased Hilda in tow. Hilda attempted to offer her something to eat or drink yet again, but the woman waved her away, insisting she was fine and needed to be on her way. With a quick wave she ducked down the street, waiting until she was sure no one was looking to slip into an alleyway; a quick spell vanished the glamour Lilith wore, and she stepped back out onto the street looking her usual self. She gave a small start when she felt a soft hand slip into hers, letting out a sigh of relief when she saw whom it was.
“Mary! You nearly scared the daylights out of me!” Lilith chided, though she gripped Mary’s hand tighter as they turned off to the lot where Mary had parked earlier.
“I highly doubt I could actually manage that!” Mary laughed, “How did it go? Was Hilda happy to see you again?”
“Annoyingly so. She was rather fond of her card too, though I could have predicted it from a mile away. I still don’t see why it was so important to you that I go back. If she had realized who I was…”
Mary tugged on Lilith’s hand lightly to shush her before she stopped in front of the old Volkswagen and turned to face her.
“A promise made should always be a promise kept. I’m very proud of you, Lilith,” Mary said, smiling gently before leaning in to peck Lilith on the cheek.
Well. How could Lilith possibly argue with that?
