INTERIM VIVA???
TOMORROW’S THE FIRST MAJOR MILESTONE OF THE SEMESTER OMGOMGOMG.
the past week has been pretty productive!! We’ve got 4 shots animated within a week and much of the environment done.
Lighting is more or less done too.
We’ve just gotta animate the rest of the 50 shots from tomorrow onwards and start rendering!!!

End of BCR Day 3 ^^
Today we found some minor problems with the rig(still) haha. Sorry Desmond! You have to work longer hours to fix them. I regret not having found them earlier. It was only when animating that i notice the small problems.
Problems like the facial expressions not being enough/exaggerated and a little of weight painting problems.
The trees are still being worked on and hopefully done really really soon :D
Lighting is more or less done. ^^
JX’s progress for the environment has been great too :)
Hilight has worked hard this week! :D

Conclusion for BCR Day 1 :>
The past few days I’ve had problems with and was figuring out ways to work around animating but finally I had no further option than to ask my Rigging Artist Desmond to alter the rig for the characters T_T. There was just no way I was able to animate with insufficient controls.
So late last night Des gave me an updated version(really quickly!!) and i’d been working on the new rig till around 3am. I got lost in work haha!
This morning I had some issues with my phone and I wasn’t able to receive internet connection till way past 9am. I am deeply regretful :(
We discussed some of what we were to do today last night so there wasn’t much of a problem having Crystal(our Director) to substitute me to announce our schedule. THANK YOU CRYSTAL I CAN’T THANK YOU MORE. and THANKS EVERYONE FOR BEING SO PATIENT WITH ME HAHAHAHA.

So I started work right away after letting Phil know of my existence on facebook!
Crystal and I used Skype for awhile while doing work but soon she has to go and hung up the call :( and we never called since.
I took a break from 1PM to 2PM for lunch. Then I continued working on my key frames animation.
I haven’t faced any major issues so far, like really really major issues and I hope I won’t. Crystal also currently has no complaints so far.
Lighting test render by Karias looked beautiful! And it only gets better! Yay!
JX and Desmond has had progress with the environment. They’ve both completed their tasks for today. So glad ^_^
I guess that concludes today’s BCR session!
By the way, i’ll be uploading stuff to shotgun as much as I can because we’ve been busy and I haven’t been uploading recently but I WILL. I promise. I’ve just got to find the time. ahaha.

It’s been a looooong time since I updated by blog... Continuing on from the previous post, now all our Rigs, Models, Textures for characters and props are done. Only the environment textures are left. Everyone else has had their various tasks done and are helping JX out.
We’ve started animating!!!
The blockings are 95% done. Not 100%, because now i need to work on animating my one money shot. I’ll animate a wide shot while Crystal animates a close-up shot.
The rig for the leg of the characters have to be redone but that can be fixed in a fairly short time. I found out that the foot was missing 2 joints and when i move the foot, the entire leg moves. It was very annoying to animate. We also found various weight paint problems but were fixed shortly.
We heard that interim VIVA will be next week!!! But due to BCR, they’ve postponed it to the following week.
I also forgot to update shotgun (horror). I’ve been so busy with other stuff (ToT). I’ll get stuff up as soon as possible!
And then there’s WISP. Freak, I hate WISP! For making me learn things that I don’t appreciate knowing, for making me write essays that have too small a word limit and making me write an entire report on subjects I DON’T EVEN LIKE! In fact, I hate it! Sigh. But I’ve still got to get it done.
And then there’s IS-EN. It’s a really interesting module and all but it’s so hateful because it makes us access other people’s behaviour and I can never see things the same way again :(. Sigh... I know TGIF, but I really dislike Fridays now.. At least for this sem. :(
