Inktober Day 22- Hill Troll Hill Trolls are a sleepy lot. In fact, once they find a comfortable spot  to lie down (which is basically any flat, open area with grass), they can sleep for a 100 years or more. During that time, grass, shrubs and even trees will grow on them,  completely covering the Hill Troll’s body and giving them the appearance of a big hill! And due to the strategic and scenic nature of hills, humans and magicfolk alike have had the tendency to build their castles, watchtowers and houses on them. This is all fine and good until you return home one day to find that your building and the hill it was on has disappeared in its entirety, or worse, you’re still inside when the Hill Troll awakes. And on almost all occasions, Hills Trolls have woken up confused as to why they suddenly have “fancy hats” on their heads. 😂 So the next time you or someone you know intends to build something on a hill, remember to get some high-tech scanning equipment (or hire a witch or wizard) to help you scan the hill, because not all hills are what they appear to be… 😉
