Hill Country
Been spending some time in the hill country recently between going on a retreat and just staying with a friend in her family's country home.
I'm not a super big Texas enthusiast at the best of times, but I feel like even moreso at times like this. It's November, and the days were still breaking into the 80's.
I've been trying another film recipe recently, based around the Astia rather than Classic Chrome. I've used Astia before, but always just by itself, without doing too many adjustments to the other parameters.
There are a lot of things I like about this, but I think I overdid it with crunching down the shadows. While Astia normally skews more towards the pastel and I was aiming for a more film-esque roll off in the shadows, I think this is too much.
Ended up with some shots I liked, and some I'm not too crazy about, just like every other time I've brought out a camera haha. Will try to tweak though. I'm interested seeing if I can make it work.
