It boggles my mind that people in the fandom even put "wimp" in the same sentence with Izuku Midoriya because he gives me Rabbit of Caerbannog energy.
Like even in season 1, he wasn't really a wimp. He was distant from people who were actively assholes to him and even still ran to save someone from a villain who could have killed him. (Mind you, twice.)
It wasn't like him being a menace in a battle just manifested once he got OFA. No, it just had to be embraced over time.
