Himmell had gripped his staff as he forced himself to stand up in the presence of the high priestess, muttering a small apology."Sister, you are among the few I consider family and I've always trusted your judgement and consideration regarding the needs of myself and those of others. A few nights ago, I have learned of something terrible that has tested the limits of my own faith and I worry that ... this person may impose a threat upon our people." Meanwhile Lebe had sat close and in silence, his features wearing a gentle frown.
The Priestess had listened carefully, her silence could have weaved their own stories and once Himmell had been talking, her attention drifted to Lebe a moment; curious but holding her tongue," Go on, I am listening." She softly spoke, once more her attention anchoring to Himmell in all seriousness.
His mouth had opened to speak and he tried to find the appropriate words to make the impact of his statement less blunt, but he could not hold back blurting out and choking on his own unsettling words. "Chancellor Blackmourn is a servant to Yogg-Saron and follows closely with the Cult of the Damned. I cannot, in good faith or will, bring myself to trust someone who openly spoke of foreseeing ruination for the Sanctum, ridiculing our efforts as priests of faith! I cannot -- I cannot find it in my heart and spirit to give him any ounce of trust anymore."
Lebe had blinked. "He's a ... Wait, someone is a servant of an Old God *and* wishes to spread the plague of undeath?" Leben rubs his chin. "Well, I can imagine what Uncle Aedrys did then..."
The blind Priest looked in the direction of his brother, frowning deeply. "I told him as well. That's when he left immediately. I have yet to see him since..."
Lady Starsworn has drawn in a sharp breath," I had my suspicions of him having a doubtful and dark type of past, life or - mess." She finished. Finding that to be the only word she could really place upon it did not bring her joy," I was not aware of him being part of a cult nor to have been a follower. I thought a Blackmourn to be smarter than that, a head of the game. I know of his skill set and necromancy though it was decided between us both for the sake of seeing such things being used in dire situations and to be used in our favor, it is best than being used against us. A completely innocent understanding between us both to teach defense instead of offense." She was oddly calm and her hands folded to her front, primly as always," I will deal with this then as would be expected of me. I cannot say he was entirely dishonest with me in his forthcoming of his hobbies but I firmly believe keeping a secret is just as bad as telling a lie. Thank you for informing me of this, Himmell. It seems I have much to coordinate and fix."
An inhale came sharply as Himmell tried to focus on his thoughts, hoping to restore his stern stature as he had during the meeting. "I feel as though there may be a part of him that regrets his choices and path -- as you said much earlier, he is deeply damaged, yet hides it well. I do not wish any ill will towards him, but I must put aside my own faith if it means protecting myself and those closest to me. If he would just ... be honest and open, I wouldn't have --" he cut himself short and turned towards his brother. "I do not wish to see minds poisoned further." He looked back to Kaevia. "I am well aware of the damage a person like him is capable of. But I want him to be treated fairly."
Kaevia had done the only thing she sought to show her irritation at the coming news, her hands lifted, arms crossed and casually her fingers drummed along her forearm and elbow….
It was a long conversation the three had and while Himmell showed much of his anger and distaste for the current topic at hand, the Priestess Kaevia was ever calm and collected. Eerily so, that such a discussion even held words of hope and faith, positive versus the negative and not once had her voice known infliction. There were only two ways to go about such a thing but for anyone who knew Kaevia -- she never conformed to knowing one way over another or needing to follow only after two options.
No. She had intended the third….
[[ Mention(s): @brightwind-wra - @chancellorofthenephrim - @7th-sanctum - and @areussunrael for the flavor that is yet to come. Maybe! We’ll have to see ]]
A small package arrives addressed to the Priest Brightwind, Himmell. Within the small package was a glass orb though the Priestess had already considered his state before sending. It came without a letter and the only script had been the address plastered upon the box. She knew that holding the orb itself would be just enough to activate it. Her words would come in time.
