Hinabuki week day 2 - Pranks

I had the idea of Ibuki pranking Hajime by convincing the impostor to mimic him and gaslighting him by adamantly acting like she cant tell which one is which... I was wondering if the impostor would ever actually use their talent for something so silly. I feel like they and Ibuki could get up to some shenanigans together if so 😈

Hinabuki week day 5 - Beach

Fun in the summer sun.... not for me though im suffering and i hate it👍 I have been meaning to draw them in their DRS swimsuits for a while so this was fun to do (Imagine Ibuki just bopped Hajime so hard he fell face first into the water)

Hinabuki week day 1 - Performance/Backstage

Happy Hinabuki week!! For the first day I decided to do a little bit of both prompts. I wanted to draw Hajime and Ibuki post-canon as theyre about to put on a show together, Hajime as the drummer and Ibuki as the guitarist and vocals as they discussed in their free time events.

Ive also had this idea stewing around in my head where the two of them met pre-canon as remnants of despair and put on literal "death" metal concerts where they kill the crowd throughout the show lol (The text on the second image translates to Kamukura/Mioda Despair Metal if I wrote it correctly)

Hinabuki week day 7 - Free day And just like that Hinabuki week comes to an end.... I kind of knew right away I wanted to do a genderbend for this one. I considered a lot how their personalities and appearances would translate if their genders were swapped but I also didnt want to change them too much. I think Ibuki as a guy would be a little bit more annoying lol like a much less malicious Kokichi? Hajime would I think be almost exactly the same and still have good chemistry with everyone. I think I would like to revisit these versions of them sometime. Also this dialogue is exactly what Ibuki says when you initiate a free time event with her in canon and I wanted to use it in some way because its so cute

Hinabuki week day 6 - Non-despair

Hinata Family Photo! This is the one Im most excited to show. I love love looooove the thought of them as parents... I think it would be just Hajimes luck that he would wind up with two girls. And you know what hes an AMAZING dad. He supports and admires anyone with talents and interests and always errs on the side of safety. And Ibuki... I love the idea of her as a mom. Alternative moms with tattoos and piercings are the literal coolest people alive in my opinion. I love picturing her aging older and older and being as energetic and crazy as shes always been.

As for the kids I havent fully fleshed them out yet but I do have ideas and I would like to draw them again and figure them out. For one thing I have zero confidence as a non Japanese person coming up with names for them that would sound natural to native speakers. Personality-wise though the younger one on Hajimes side takes after him a bit more and tends to have a serious and intimidating look about her but is actually just shy and can be just as silly as Ibuki. She is bookish and grows up to be something like a lawyer. The one on Ibukis side is friendly and curious and more creatively gifted and grows up to be an actress/singer-songwriter. She is outwardly "plain" but in a way that allows her to succeed academically and in life when she grows older.

Hinabuki week day 4 - Makeovers

Ibukis favorite kind of music is quite intense, so when performing with Hajime the two will paint each others faces up and pop in contact lenses to bring the whole scene together.

It admittedly took some time for Hajime to come around and understand Ibukis taste but once she felt comfortable enough around him to open up honestly about her love for black metal, it was hard for her excitement not to rub off on him. Feeling outcasted the way he always had, the world of the macabre came to resonate with him more than he ever thought it could
