The entire concept of deity worshiping was created to silence us whenever we speak out against male violence, by deflecting our protest with claims like "Actually, in our religion we worship women as deities". It allows men to portray themselves as superior to men of other religious groups, who boast that they have always celebrated women warriors like Durga, Kali, sita Draupadi, Sati etc when in truth, these female figures in Hindu mythology were not celebrated for fighting men, but for enduring their violence.

They fool women into believing that they are strong women or deities for never getting tired of tolerating injustice, for never fighting back and their so called divine feminine strength is determined by how long they can endure male violence. Their definition of strength is not leadership or resistance but slavery. They romanticise male violence against women from where practices like sati burning, Johar and many other cruel practices emerged from.

Therefore It doesn't seem shocking or hypocrite to me that countries like India and hindu communities in other parts of the world worship women but are still so unsafe. They never worshipped women for fighting men but for sacrificing themselves for men.

- The Gods of Rig Vedic Period (2)-

Indra

The central myth at the base of Vedic ritual surrounds Indra. He is celebrated for his powers, and the one who slays the great symbolic evil dragon named Virtra who obstructs human prosperity and happiness. Indra destroys Vritra and his "deceiving forces", and thereby brings rains and the sunshine as the friend of mankind.

He is the deity of the heavens, lightning, thunder, storms, rains, river flows, and war. Indra is the most referred to deity in the Rigveda. He is known as Sakra, a protector of Buddhism.

Indra’s vahana is a white elephant known as Airavata.

Vahana denotes the mount or vehicle of a deity, typically an animal or mythical entity.

In Hindu folklore, positive aspects of the vehicle are often emblematic of the deity that it carries. The vahana serves the function of doubling a God's or Goddess' powers. The vahana also represents the devotee's mind that allows the deity to guide the devotee. Let’s pay attention to their vehicles as well as Hindu deities.

インドラ（帝釈天）

代表的なデーヴァは雷神インドラであり、リグ・ヴェーダ全讃歌の4分の1が彼を讃えるものである。仏教においては、男はつらいよ・寅さんでも有名な帝釈天のことだ。

インドラは、人々を苦しめる冬を象徴する、凶暴で尊大なドラゴン、ヴィリトラを退治したことにより、川の塞き止めや干ばつから回復させ、大地に恵みをもたらした。

インドラのヴァーハナは白像のアイラーヴァタである。

ヴァーハナとは、動物や架空の生き物による神様の乗り物ことである。インドの神様たちは、必ずと言っていいほどヴァーハナに乗って登場する。ヴァーハナはその主たる神の性質を象徴するものとして描かれており、神の副手としてヴァーハナは主人の力を倍化させる機能を果たすこともある。インドの神神を語る上では、彼らのヴァーハナにも注目したい。

Agni

Agni stands for fire in Sanskrit, and connotes the Vedic fire god of Hinduism. In the Hindu cosmology, Agni as fire is one of the five elements along with space, water, air and earth, the five combining to form the empirically perceived material existence including us.

He has ruddy-hued two faces, seven tongues, tree legs, and seven arms. He is a major and oft-invoked god along with Indra and Soma. Rig Veda states that the Sun become visible when Agni was born. 

He is considered as the messenger between gods and human beings in the Vedic thought. He exists at three levels, on earth as fire, in the atmosphere as lightning, and in the sky as the sun. 

His vahana is urial (wild sheep).

この神様は、真っ赤に染まる２つの顔、７つの舌、３本の足、そして、７本の腕を持っている。アグニは、ソーマと並び、インドラに次いで、多くの讃歌が捧げられるなど極めて重視される。「リグ・ヴェーダ」では、彼の誕生した時に太陽が現れるようになったとさえ述べている。

芥川龍之介の短編小説「アグニの神」とは、この火の神アグニのことである。

古代インドでは、アグニは人間と神様を繋ぐメッセンジャーとしての役割を果たすとされ、彼は天上にあっては太陽、中空にあっては稲妻、地にあっては祭火など、３段階の世界に遍在する。

彼の乗り物は野生の羊である。
