I was dead-set on doing Hinome for today because ‘this is Hinome’s colour’, but it took me a long time to think of what to really do for today’s piece. I probably mulled over this one longer than anything else, but in the end I’m glad to have taken my time ^^

I think Vol 3 of Great Priest Imhotep is where Hinome truly starts to set herself apart from the usual Tsundere archetype. She does get violent sometimes, but it’s always for a damn good reason, and when Im speaks to her sincerely, she returns the favor instead of clamming up with embarrassment.

To even fathom the idea that your main girl might be in love with you, Im truly is a cut above your average Shounen protagonist.

The rules of friendship Im bestowed upon Hinome were taught to him by Djoser T.T

Djoser is both the King of the Magai and the King of Sass.

“You’re all like,” - good gawd I love Yen Press’s translations for him. It’s so great to see that while Im speaks in an archaic manner due to just waking up, Djoser has been hanging out with the living for 3000 years, giving him plenty of time to get with it.

He’s just this unbearably powerful being digging around in the grass like a pedestrian, fucking can’t get enough of this guy.

He seems like a scheming chess master, and 99% chance he is - but Khonsu is still human and gets caught off-guard with the best of us.

Hinome keeps doin’ Tsun right.

60% of my anticipation of this volume’s release went to seeing this chapter translated. Im schools like a boss.
