YES and also it makes so much sense how they stick together because they're the only ones who understand each other in a way, they don't get too preoccupied with things such as empathy and personal ties so that sort of "efficient" mindset and behavior makes them very compatible! like, their entire relationship and individual process of thought is something so simple it's actually kind of complex, if that makes sense. but yeah, i really really love it!!!

I get what you mean ! It seems so weird to us, but it’s terribly logical if we think in term of this lack, which makes them even more interesting to me because they got to grow up with it, in a really specific context that favor this sort of lack (with lack of empathy and such being preferred) and constructed on it…

Omg yes??? Like they messed up viruses brain during the operation on his eyes and that would explain their obsession with aoba the close contact makes them produce more oxytocin which makes them happier a feeling which they mistake as love

Exactly, I love the idea. I thought of it too, I think sexual intercourse would also stimulate oxytocin production. And mixed with their fascination for Aoba, it could all make sense and yeah, mistake it as love…

i’ve been so fucking down for this for like 2 yrs now and i’m so happy to see someone with the same hc as me?? like HELL YEA it makes so much sense both logically, plot-wise, and psychologically. also i’m kinda biased bc i actually have the disorders that ur talking about so i enjoy seeing it being discussed without being stigmatized BLESS YOU

Yeah, I mean, if you think of it, they obviously lack it since they show so little empathy (and have such a weird relationship), whether they “learnt” it or it’s due to a dysfunction.

In the case of Virus, in a reblog I also supposed the idea that his lack of oxytocin may be due to Toue’s experiments, which would have purposefully messed with his brain and oxytocin production so Virus would be more likely to be okay to hurt people later on, because his biological ability to feel empathy has been impaired.

If you’re speaking about autism, I feel you ;v; I have asperger too (as well as my mom who extensively talked to me about oxytocin)
