Realized I never done anything like that on here so hi, I'm Themys, mostly an artist in fandoms, but I've been taking a stab at writing lately.
I'm currently in the Wednesday fandom, hyperfixated on Tyler/Isaac, so you'll be seeing a lot of this. This current blog is my main/personal blog, but you can also find me:
on my art blog

on ko-fi
I'm very open to be asked things as long as they're respectful. I am proship, in the original sense, aka = I believe in ship and let's ship, using "notp" instead of going on a moral crusade against a ship you don't like, blocking, muting, and tagging appropriately, and am against trying to assume someone's morality on their ships or assign them real life crimes based purely on the fiction they consume. I also strongly dislike ship wars, as I find them pointless. Shipping isn't activism, nor a war of "who has it more canon". Fandoms are transformative spaces, if you can't have fun there, then why even be in fandoms?
Guess what? I am experimenting with creating sticker/keychains of the galpin-night family tanghulu (i like eating it..) currently i am figuring out on trademarks, the size of it, and finding a factory that doesnt cost me a fortune, in which i have to start learning how to use transaction apps, i’ll update further on!
Do not in whatever way, repost, reclaim, or use without clear credits and permission.
I will fuck you up if you put it in generative ai in any way.
When it comes to your preferences on Tysaac as a ship, what are your favorite dynamics and which character is what? And what do you see as their attachment styles (avoidant etc)?
Like things like:
shows restraint x chaotic menace
Looks like cinnamon roll but will kill you x looks like will kill you but is cinnamon roll
"I am difficult to get along with." x "You're not difficult wdym?"
"I'm a mess, give up on me." vs "I'll take you as you are."
"When my sickness comes, to touch me is revolting." x "Not to me. Not if it's you."
Sorry for the reply time, and first of all, thank you for this question! it made me really happy to receive it ! 💖😊
Under the cut because it ended up being too long (and I probably forgot a lot of things I wanted to say)
And that's very interesting. I think they're both very co-dependent and borderline fusional, especially on Isaac's side. He was clearly in a dual dynamic with his sister, and losing her broke him ("the only person I ever truly loved"), so I see him as clinging to Tyler as his only reason left to live, and being very attached to him.
I see Tyler as globally the same, as he had to live through feeling abandoned (his mother "dying" when he was 4), an emotionally (and physically, a lot of the time) absent father, losing his friends group after he tried to do things right, then having his desire for love and belonging manipulated by Gates… He yearns for love and to be able to trust someone (to me, him leaving with Capri like that at the simple promise of a pack at the end of S2 is a cry for help in that regard). So once he does, he will be very intense about it. And I think he'd be very worried about Isaac possibly manipulating him/keeping him out of important things and betraying him "for his own good" as he did back in Iago Tower.
I do think Tyler would be more open to other people in general, like having friends, while Isaac would consider that having Tyler is enough and he doesn't need more.
I see Isaac as generally being the "leader"/dom of the relationship (and I like him becoming Tyler's master at some point, on Tyler's own decision) but if we're talking nsfw, I like him best to bottom and let Tyler take the reins in intimacy.
I can also see Tyler to be the most caring one, in the sense that he's very sensitive and attuned to other's and their needs. Isaac has a terrible life hygiene in my opinion, and Tyler is often the one to force him to take care of himself or at least let Tyler take care of him. Not that Isaac doesn't take care of Tyler (because he does), but he can sometimes fall into accidentally neglecting him because he's too focused on seeing too far ahead (for example: spending days in his lab trying to work on fixing his lifespan when Tyler just wants to spend time with him, and blowing off "I'm doing this for you!!" when Tyler complain).
I think, ironically, while Tyler absolutely need to be able to trust Isaac, I can see Isaac breaking this trust if he feels it's the right thing to do for Tyler, because he's so desperate to keep him safe (think Wednesday keeping Enid in the dark about her vision for her own good type of reasoning).
Now for the dynamics you mentioned:
show restraint / chaotic menace: I think Tyler would be the first one. In S2, he was the most """""normal""""" out of his family, more tempered and more conscious of social norms, whereas Isaac really doesn't care (it's implied he drove Judi's care around Jericho while very visibly zombified…)
Looks like cinnamon roll but will kill you x looks like will kill you but is cinnamon roll: honestly, I don't think any is secretly a "cinnamon roll", they're both pretty dark xD , but I think Tyler is the one who has more this "cinnamon roll" energy on the surface, but can actually kill you. Meanwhile Isaac… I mean, he does have a soft spot, so if I really have to assign them a role in this it would be the second. Because he is "cold" and "heartless" because get scared of him, but he has that ability to be extremely soft (but it's only reserved for the few people he genuinely cares about)
"I am difficult to get along with." x "You're not difficult wdym?": probably Tyler. Not that Isaac doesn't recognize how sensitive he is, but to him, loving him feels natural. Is there hardship? is Tyler insecure, feisty, and the type to cause arguments all the time? yes, but Isaac doesn't see an issue with that.
"I'm a mess, give up on me." vs "I'll take you as you are." : Tyler vs Isaac. I think Tyler is very self-aware of his insecurities and shortcomings, and while he's afraid of Isaac leaving, sometimes he'd push him away in self-sabotage. But for Isaac, I do think he can accept Tyler wholy. In the show, I always saw his desire to remove Françoise's Hyde and seeing it as a "curse" to have been affected by her own self-hatred and suffering. She wanted a "normie life" (that Isaac didn't understand), and suffered from her Hyde + Isaac knew her Hyde was driving her to an early grave. But now, things would be different. Tyler is still young, and very dead set on keeping his Hyde, so I can see Isaac working on fixing the lifespan issue, but also now accepting Tyler as a whole, with his Hyde.
"When my sickness comes, to touch me is revolting." x "Not to me. Not if it's you." Isaac. I think that, despite being arrogant and having a high opinion of himself, he has moments of doubts. I hc he resented how weak his body was, how it didn't follow with his mind, how he had to be bedbound, etc. Then, when he made his heart, and ppl (in my hc, including his father) treated him like a monster, it stuck. He relied heavily on his own genius for his sense of self-worth, but in moments where it's challenged (like after repeated failure like in canon), there's a point where the pendulum would switch and he'd feel like he's too broken to be of any good to Tyler. In these moments, Tyler would be the one to be his rock.
I hope that answered your question, and that this wasn't too messy ! I have some "core" headcanons and dynamics, and then others that I can see changing or might want to explore differently depending on mood or scenario.
Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in
hi! i have messed up legs and use both mobility aids and braces (professional powerlifting grind-set killed me) but!
red leg brace seems like a permanent fixture (similar to an Ilizarov frame) providing long-term structural support or alignment correction, therefore stays on for a long amount of time!! blue one is more of a "my leg muscles have decided they don't want to engage and i don't want to literally fall over" so a supportive type thing. the back brace seems designed for spinal support, mobility assistance, or pain management, it might also help with posture, balancing his movements while using the leg brace. which is probs needed imo.
therefore they can be warn together!! probably are! even if they're uncomfortable i feel like that's the least of his worries lmao
also i've drawn a little thing for everyone who's curious consider it a TLDR:
Adding in my two cents as a fellow messed up legs haver who uses a similar leg brace. While I absolutely agree on the back brace being a permanent fixture at least in part, I think the leg brace shown is actually closer to a vintage KAFO and would not be a permanent fixture! KAFO’s can be designed in such a way where they can clip into other braces in order to keep from sliding down. They’re also used primarily for stability and pain.
Here are a few examples (albeit kinda fuzzy pictures)! These were commonly used by polio patients and those with congenital disabilities, like muscular dystrophy.
Also, some great discussion in the replies from @armoredcrystal, @loveandlegacy and @olauivers. Thanks everyone for continuing to provide input!!
Also, for anybody needing a transcript of @olauivers' diagrams, he's very kindly written them out in this reblog! And here is his info about Viktor's crutch use reposted on this reblog chain so this is all in one place lol:
From @olauivers:
"it's so awesome to see people caring!! it means so much to me!! esp with Viktor being literally the love of my life (sorry to my boyfriend) AND disabled! AND doomed by the narrative! i'm back to dissect this more anyway onto what i know about this.
you should be using a mobility aid (crutch, cane, ect) on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE INJURY typically for balancing and reducing strain. now why wouldn't he be? no clue. my thoughts are that it's also a super specific case of how his spine is aligned!! i personally use my cane on my injured side purely cause of how my hips are it allows me to keep a certain walking speed, however if it's bad enough i switch it. enjoy a little diagram."
"but also! he switches between both with the crutch, this is more normal (and something i do) because crutches typically provide more stability and allow for better weight redistribution than a cane, it could also be a storytelling thing of Viktor's condition is getting worse, so he needs a better aid, to use it right, ect. we can only guess, for now (also bodies are odd and it might just be a 'this is more comfortable' thing, very normal)"
And if anybody didn't know where to find the official model turnarounds that have great reference for Viktor's braces, they're here and here!
I always assume that amazing artists are always aware of how amazing their art is but I saw your post on Twitter about shitty algorithm and how it made you doubt your art. So I just want to let you know that your art is very nice to look at. I remember the first time one of your Tysaac drawings hit my feed and I instantly thought how pretty your style was. I have noticed that art interactions regarding Wednesday as a whole have gone down a bit for now but I'm sure it'll pick up again with the 3rd season. I also know posting silly stuff can get more engagement with people outside the fandom vs fanart directed towards those inside the fandom. I apologize if I'm overstepping at all. Your art is always fun to look at and I hope you know how scrumptious your art style is. I enjoy your posts and love your art!❤️
Sorry for the reply time and aahhh thank you so much for your sweet words ! 😭💖
I think overall I've gotten better at enjoying my own art, or at least being satisfied with it, but there's always moments where I relapse into being frustrated with it, and the constant fight with algorithms does sometimes make it feel like there *is* an issue with the art itself.
But thank you so much. It's true that with the way fandoms operate nowaday, and seasons being released all at once or just 2-parters, the hype dies down faster. And for such a nice ship, it will obviously impact it harder.
You're not overstepping at all, it's true that memes and funny posts will generally garner more engagement (my legacy remains the "Sebastian sneezing" comic, and it extended way beyond the kuroshitsuji fandom especially on tiktok), but it's always a bit frustrating.
anyway thank you, I'm glad you like my art and that even with such a ship as Tysaac you could enjoy it 💖💖 I'll keep posting, even if the algos ghost my art ! ^^
“scientists don’t want you know” is a phrase that always cracks me up because if you actually meet a scientist they will be shaking and crying like an overstimulated chihuahua with the need to let you know
My fellow Isaac Night lovers, сould you share your opinions on Isaac’s everyday wardrobe before his death? Let’s say, a look for a walk. Moodboards would be even better — I saw a few before but I lost them🥲 I’m trying to plan a photoshoot but I’m lost on the details, everything I find is either something pretentious or something too soft
