Ugh.... #hipsterproblems. With the top of the butcher block currently sucking up the last of a quart of tung oil, it's time to turn my attention to the sides of the block. And with this much surface area and years of drips and dribbles, I figured it would be a perfect hand tool project. But which hand tool? My Japanese block plane or my vintage American cabinet scraper? Judging by the surface finish I'm seeing, I think a combination of the 2 is in order.
