The DOE and BOE value your comments on the updated Strategic Plan.  This draft includes new objectives aligned to key goals, and an initial list of 10 proposed indicators.  Add your input directly in the draft by clicking the “Public Comment Section” buttons throughout the document.

Student success is someone who is optimistic about learning, who exceeds in grades and standards while learning essential life skills in the process!

We are guest speakers to educators, and going out to all the public schools to talk about ethnicity in Hawaii.  When we talk about student success, we need teachers to have empathy about where the students come from.  There are resources to navigate success for our Pacific Islander kids.  It is about feeling welcome, and being able to establish your own identity.
