Hiro’s head lolled to the side as he struggled
to focus on the important task at hand: staying
conscious. Despite Baymax’s encouragements,
he could feel himself slipping, vision going
dark around the edges and a calm numbness
washing over him, making the pain of his injuries
dull.
❝ I’m—I’m trying. ❞ The prodigy coughed out. ❝ It’s…
not as easy as it seems. ❞
At times it was difficult to tell the difference between the
emotions that were purely simulated, and those that felt
ingrained. Baymax knew he felt something when Hiro was
in peril, something it would be impossible to program.
The robot pressed a cool hand to Hiro's forehead.
"I have called for an ambulance. You must stay awake until
it gets here."
