Dale had a promise to keep.

He had gone back to Twin Peaks, he had got Audrey out of the Black Lodge and sent the dark entity back there. He made sure things were good with Gordon and the bureau, and of course Diane. After making sure that his friends that resided there were OK, Dale, along with the Mitchum brothers flew back to Vegas. He had a promise to keep, and Dale was nothing if not a man of his word. 

Pulling up in front of the home he had shared with Janey-e and Sonny Jim; Dale took a breath before he headed up to the red door. Knocking on it, he waited for someone to answer.
