Day 268 (September 23) Father, we thank you for giving us each other, sisters in souls, your beloved daughters in spirit. We thank you Lord for our family, whose love and support make living easier and happier. We are grateful to you for our community, whose prayers help calm the storms in our lives. We love to gather in Your presence, Lord. It is our hope and utmost desire that our being here and the intentions of our sisters not present here, give you the glory and honor that you are due. It's our hope and our innermost desire that in everything we do Lord, You are lifted up. Your strength is always here to encourage us. Your love is always here to saturate us. Day 263 (September 18) Our first time to attend the Children's Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral. The two newly installed windmill-liked fan hovering over the center pews were hard to miss (and a welcome relief to a warm Sunday afternoon!) We then proceeded to our Aunt's home (she has the most beautiful garden) for a Mango-fest! Their mango tree produces the sweetest mangoes. They had the mango cream for dessert while I settled with the mango smoothie. I made tortones with mango salsa. That was our afternoon snack. For dinner we had grilled fish, sauteed kangkong and something (I honestly don't know what it was. I also convinced my friend to cook it from scratch and warned her against using sinigang mix. We eat real food! @mai_minjat thankfully she obliged me) and pork stew (yum!). Needless to say, we all overate and the commute home was very unpleasant. I thank the Lord for simple gatherings such as the one we just had.
