Birthday weekend trip is booked!
We are staying at Cawood Castle (where Cardinal Wolsey was arrested for treason, Wolf Hall fans) and plan to pop over to Leeds to visit the Royal Armouries National Museum of Arms and Armour, somewhere Al and I have always fancied going.
As always happens when my birthday falls on a Sunday I get shortchanged and have to wait until October 25th to get the 24th hour of the day - but you bet your ass I’ll be claiming it! ;)
We visited the castle of Compiègne today...It was amazing *___*
Just so you know what I'm talking about: basically, it's a royal residence mainly used by Louis XV, Louis XVI and then Napoleon and Napoleon III. The decoration is of First Empire style (and I love it) I stole some pics from the internet:
