I’m completely fine with people saying different Prime Ministers have “gay vibes” or whatever, but also I feel as if people who say that don’t… actually bother to search up and realise we’ve actually had gay Prime Ministers? Yes I get it political history is different from modern politics, but I feel as if people who go around saying “so-and-so is like this” are forgetting that queer people have lived in Number 10. Please continue RPF, lolitics community, I implore you, it’s the greatest thing when it comes to politics, but don’t accidentally erase the actual gay politicians because I fear in the midst of all this content, people will forget all of this. That is a whole heap of untapped potential. The fact Croskins has absolutely no AO3 fics is astounding, someone work on that.

I mean tbf we’ve never had an openly gay prime Minsiter that was known about at the time, like idk if Ted heath or William Pitt the younger are massive Ws for the queer community. Although yes croskins deserve more fics and I don’t quite understand this whole ‘oh well I was gay at Oxford but I’m 100% straight now’ thing so many politicians in the late 20th century had going on.

hello! This is a sideblog focusing mostly on (and will absolutely get meme’d and get Lolitics’d the shit out of) the Interwar Period in general (mostly on the 1930s, but will also feature the 1920s & 1940s too), from historical figures to events, etc etc (plus other decades of the latter half of the of the 20th century will feature too, depending on if the figures of the Interwar Period lived to see the latter half of the 20th century. But it’s kinda mostly 30s-centred here, so yeah).

I made this blog so that it’d be better to air out my historical-lolitics hyperfixated brainworms out here, and all in all this is mostly made for funsies (so basically I’m not a qualified PHD level historian lmao. tho there might be some interesting stuff of note that might be, well, interesting 👀👀).
