◆ Delhaxe knuckleduster revolver ~ Liege, Belgium (c.1870) via Czerny's ⬣ two solutions, one grip
My yearly singular MerMay post. This year, it's Ace (Ascension Island) as an Atlantic Blue Marlin. Did you know that Ascension Island is a protected ocean habitat/territory? With 3 different zones! Their website is so cool, man.
Oh yeah, her sword is based on a Portuguese rapier. Cause they were 'technically' the first to discover the island. (Even if that is literally marooning someone there).
It took me a month to make this, but I did it. Yay!

Underappreciated Historical Weapons: the SWORDSTAFF
Elgin Cutlass Pistol: In 1838, the United States Navy developed the .54 caliber, single-shot smoothbore Elgin pistol, which was equipped with an 11.5-inch Bowie knife blade, and was intended for use by boarding parties; it was the first percussion cap gun in naval service, but only 150 were made.
Crossbow cases and bolt quivers!

Cannon that fired during the Revolution / Орудие, которое стреляло во время Революции #petraksenov
The cannon was created in Paris in 1878. It is located near the building of the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia in Moscow.
The Moscow Kremlin was fired upon from a cannon during the revolution in Russia in 1917. In the Kremlin there were officers, cadets and students (supporters of the tsarist government). The Red Guards (supporters of the revolution, they are Bolsheviks) fired at the Moscow Kremlin.
During the fighting, many Cathedrals and Towers of the Moscow Kremlin were damaged. Several hundred people died in the battles of 1917 in Moscow.
By agreement of the parties, the defenders of the Kremlin surrendered their weapons and were released. Many of them later fought on the side of the Whites (opponents of the revolution) against the Reds (supporters of the revolution, they are Bolsheviks).
This was one of the first outbreaks of the Civil War in Russia (1917 - 1923). The Russian Civil War killed 10 to 17 million people. About 2 million people left Russia as a result of the war. The war ended with the victory of the Reds (Bolsheviks). In 1922, the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) was formed.
Interesting is the presence of a wooden bearing in the running gear of the gun. This can be seen in the video.
But the cannon look like completely modern fastening elements: screws, bolts, pins.
The breech with a bolt (the lower part of the barrel) is similar to modern ones (this is my opinion, not a professional).
