Tell me if you’ve ever done anything wild in the name of research. I made two trips to San Francisco before I wrote a single line for ACROSS A BROKEN SHORE. Truth be told, I needed to walk the bridge, wander the neighborhoods of Sea Cliff, visit the real St. Monica church in order to really feel and understand my main character.
