I need to show you something, which lets me scream with excitement. But also i'm totally worried about because it is soo fragile.
This "set" belonged to my great-grandmother. It is a hairband and a kind of "pin" ( i don't know the english word for it, in german it is called "Anstecksträußchen"). She wore it on her wedding day, which we think was in 1925. We sadly do not know the exact date...but this is a different story.
The hairband and the pin are made out of wire, waxed paper and white wax drops. The tiny flowers are also made out of wax and loose threads in the middle.
It is amazing that this is still in such a good condition! (And i will keep it forever!)
