So I just recently finished reading 'The Other Boleyn Girl'...

One thing I always used to admire about the British back in the day is the way their women carried themselves. They were very elegant, yet modest. It was this aspect that pulled me in, since in Islam, donning the hijab, we are taught to be modest.

However, what I came to realise - as I read the book - is that all that 'modesty' (ironically enough) was just for show. All their immoral actions took place behind closed doors. 

It became evident how messed up their values were. Throughout, God was always mentioned...talking about being God-fearing...and not wanting to commit sins. However, that was basically all they were doing - commiting sins.

With all that being mentioned, without a doubt, the book was extremely interesting.

Any good novel suggestions?
