History Reflection
I really enjoyed these videos because it opened my mind to a deeper and further inspection on how i see color. Colors are interpreted to be imaginary with the main cause to be sun light reflecting off of other materials that bring out color. In the first video I enjoyed the book they showed that Isaac Newton read, of how Rainbows are made. You don’t really put too much thought into color but this video did by presenting the experiments on color. In the second video, we are presented a book about an artist, Josef Albers, and how he became creative. A few cool facts i learned about Josef Albers were that he would grab scraps from garbage and use these to create colorful collages. I also loved how he found Mexico as an interest, as a latina, i really feel comforted knowing he enjoyed the beauty of my culture. and it’s colors. From both videos with each of the two different approaches (experimental and environmental), I believe both can be useful into learning more about the true nature of color. The experiments are more factual, while just staring at a colorful flower is environmentally useful and researchers can gain a feeling about color.
