This is just something that I noticed while playing. The infected don’t attack other infected. There might be 2 reasons for this:

Maybe it’s because she doesn’t look like she is infected. She doesn’t make clicking sound and she doesn’t moan constantly. 

Since she’s always around other non infected, she doesn’t “smell” like them.

I think there is a more logical reason to this, that is quite obvious: The game will incredibly boring if you could just walk by infected and they do nothing.
