💜#Repost @officialpaisleypark (@get_repost) ・・・ It was two years ago today that Prince released his album ‘HITNRUN Phase One’ exclusively on @tidal , shortly after announcing a deal with the Jay-Z-owned streaming service. ‘HITNRUN Phase One’ was recorded by @prince and producer @joshuaworldofficial , and included the previously released singles “HARDROCKLOVER” and “THIS COULD B US” (a song inspired by a meme of Prince and his Purple Rain co-star Apollonia), in addition to new songs like “1000 X’S & O’S” and “AIN'T ABOUT 2 STOP,” which features @ritaora . Speaking to the @bbc about ‘HITNRUN Phase One’ ahead of its release, Joshua said that the album showcases many different sides of Prince’s personality. “You'll get the groovy Prince, you'll get the fun Prince, you'll get the hilarious Prince, you'll get the serious Prince, and you'll get the going-out-on-a-date-with-my-lady Prince,” he said. Following the album’s release on Tidal, ‘HITNRUN Phase One’ was released on CD on September 15, 2015, via Prince’s own NPG Records.
