Okay, don’t take this the wrong way, but quite frankly? You’re kind of a tryhard. You care way too much about what other people think of you and the image you project and your reputation. You’re vain, you’re kinda narcissistic, pretty much the only thing I can say to your credit in this regard is at least you’re not shallow. With yourself, yeah, you’re absolutely real fuckin’ shallow, but with other people, not so much, and I can dig that. 

Other than that, though. You’re genuinely a pretty cool guy--when you let yourself be genuine. You gotta cut back, man, cut yourself some slack and take a breath and give yourself a little wiggle room. Lighten up. You don’t have to be The Cool Guy™ to be a cool guy.

And if that means being a nerd or a square sometimes? Fuck it, dude, be a goddamn nerd, all your friends already are. There’s no reason for you to flake out on a good time just because you’re afraid of how it’ll make you look.
