Page 22. ---- Edgar Thomas (Eddie) Kingdon, noted lacrosse player, was instantly killed and three others were seriously injured when the roadster (1) crashed head-on into a tree alongside a dangerous double curve between Thistledown and Western early yesterday after breaking and uprooting two guard rail posts. Thomas McBridge (2), driver of the motor car, is in Toronto Western hospital, suffering from head lacerations; Miss Audrey Walter (3) has a fractured collar-bone and femur and serious head wounds; and Fred Moran (5) suffered a fractured leg and serious cuts. Kingdom (4) was instantly killed when the cowling of the car crushed him with the force of the impact against the tree. Yesterday’s fatality was the third accident to occur at this double curve within the past six weeks.
