I beat Half-Life by only using the Hivehand. Why? Because I felt like it. And I feel like many people underestimate the Hivehand's effectiveness, it's probably the least-used weapon in Half-Life. I don't recommend using it for the entire game though. Especially not Gonarch's Lair.
Here you can see the whole beast. This drawing is not finished yet and some parts of this tenachiously beast are not completely worked out. Back in the year 1998 when half life 1 war released this thing was one of the most remarkable and annoying enemies in the game. This creature is armed with biological weapon wich fires target seeking hornets. Those damn bees were able to follow you across the corner and violate you even, when you has taken cover. The second remarkable fact about alien grunt is: it,s really hard to kill this thing
