I tried to show some difference between standard imperium bionic (R arm and legs) and the ones with heretek origin (L arm and chest). I wanted to present it as a malignant growth. There are metastasis of bionics in a body that no longer lives.

That scratched out belt piece once had an eye of vigilance engraved as a battle honor, he had attempted to gouge it out after Horus happened.

I have a bone to pick with my childhood show Lab Rats. I loved the show, don’t get me wrong, I rewatched it religiously. But the one thing that ticks me off the most and that I don’t see anyone bringing up is how Adam treats Chase throughout the entire show.

Bit of spoilers and a trigger warning regarding abuse.

One would argue they have a normal brother to brother, sibling relationship that play hard. And sure, that’s true, but it quickly nose dives into straight up abuse. Adam repeatedly is physically abusive, emotionally abusive, and mentally abusive.

Adam constantly picks on Chase’s smaller size and not being “stronger” and makes fun of his intelligence despite regularly being a key part of the group and is a reason for so many missions being successful.

Then there was a girl that was interested in Chase. What did Adam do? He continues to make Chase feel uncomfortable to the point his Commando App gets activated and causes the girl to run off. Why did Adam do this? Because he was jealous and wanted to mess things up for Chase.

I always keep coming back to Chase’s line “I can finally wear short sleeves again” in context to Adam being super careful because he did tried to prank Chase and ended up getting his shoulder dislocated.

The fact that Mr. Davenport, Douglas, and Tasha literally don’t say anything about this. Douglas literally gives both Chase and Adam new powers to be able to get back at each other.

I started watching this show when I was rather young so I didn’t really pick up on it at first, but as I’ve watched it throughout the years, the more I see it and the more it bothers me. Chase’s abuse is just brushed aside to the point it’s made to be played for laughs.

Plus, I do feel like I relate more to Chase more than anyone else in the show. I like to think he’s autism coded, and sure a large part of the way he is because of his bionic chip that gives him super intelligence, but he still sees and perceives the world in a unique way. Like how I do. While I’ve never been bullied like that, or at least not near to that level, I do know what it’s like to try to prove myself over and over again and to be taken seriously among other people that don’t really do that.

Anyway, that’s my rant. Perhaps I’ll make a series of this even if no one actually reads it lol
