It wasn’t the easiest thing- for two doctors to find enough time to chat, much less finish a cup of coffee and yet Junsu tried to make time for more than that at least once week with Himchan. It had become somewhat of a habit, the practice carrying on long past the younger doctor’s rotation within the Emergency Room. The elder was no longer officially in charge of his hoobae, but still felt compelled to watch over him in a more casual and mentoring manner.
He had sat with Himchan enough times to know when something was on the male’s mind and making general small talk had done nothing to change the distracted look in his eyes. It was time to change tactics and with a quick witty remark, he heard a familiar and welcome sound slip from the doctor’s lips.
Tipping his head back to laugh at his own words, his eyes sparkled from across the table. “You seemed preoccupied, I thought maybe you were thinking about love lost,” he continued to joke in order to keep the air of the room light.
After hearing what the older said again, Himchan laughed even more and covered his mouth while looking down, his cheeks already aching because of so much laughter. The male pressed his lips together when he stopped laughing and blinked slightly, shaking his head before look at his hyung and frown softly. "Love? Pff, nah." Himchan made a face and ate a bit of the pasta, filling his mouth with the food.
When he finished munching on his food, he looked at the other in front of him and scratched his cheek, tilting his head softly. "I'm just a bit stressed and tired-- you know, I don't stay still for so long here," he said and raised both eyebrows, shrugging as he rests his elbows on the table before finish eating and clean his mouth with a napkin. The reality was, whenever someone sees that Himchan is free for some minutes, they always find something for him to do.
"If the reason of my stress was love it wouldn't be so hard," he nodded and crossed his arms, leaning back on his chair while looking at Junsu. Himchan didn't believe in love, so he was never worried about it. To him, love is only a mental illness that he craves for studying and proving that loving isn't a must in someone's life -- someone like him.
