this is rambling more for my sake to work it out later, but considering the concept of like......... if alice leaves wonderland, darcy effectively dies a la lets use the soul gems from puella as an example : the girls souls are housed in them, so when they get out of range, their bodies become lifeless husks bc there’s nothing inside them, everything that makes them a person is in the gem

apply that concept similarly to alice / the mc / xyz muse who darcy gave his soul to when they fell down to wonderland, which is true for every muse i interact with even if they don’t romantically pursue darcy or anyone (cuz he gives them his soul just to keep them alive / as a trump card versus aleister if all else fails lol)

so like for an alice that decides to leave wonderland, with darcy having no heart and no soul, the moment they leave, he just falls over lifeless 🥴 not actually dead, but not able to exist because his body is an empty shell

so he just becomes........ nothing. a lifeless husk. an empty doll. the others would just have to put him somewhere safe and hope they can find a way to wake him back up one day.
