Nimdok gets a grandbaby (Gangle)

Ted gets an annoying little brother who he would probably play “kick the baby” with (Jax)

Benny has someone he can sympathize with about his body struggles (Zooble)

And Gorrister gets a crazy yet caring cousin and a little niece that he doesn’t like very much but would probably get to like more in the future (Kinger and Pomni)

At some point, I stopped reading your fanfic because I knew it was incredibly heavy. But after seeing the art and discussions about your latest chapter, I got very curious… VERY curious. So I read the latest available chapter.

AND OH MY GOD, I HAVE SO MANY EMOTIONS!

First of all, Caine, my boy, you played your role so well that I couldn't stop laughing and yelling, "KEEP GOING! DON'T STOP!" I probably looked like a football fan cheering from the stands. 😂

Caine was essentially created to create believable stories and adventures, so it makes perfect sense that he could play a convincing role. And AM believed him because he simply doesn't have that kind of social experience. I laughed so hard at that!

The moment Caine found the bumblebees… I was so touched. 🥹 It's so sweet that, despite everything he's been through, he can still appreciate little things.

And when he found Ellen… my heart completely melted. He's so 🥺💕

I also have to mention the moment when Caine commented on AM's mess. I burst out laughing because I immediately imagined Caine as a mom looking around the room and saying,

"Mmm… it's dirty. AM, clean your room already."

That image absolutely destroyed me. 😂

Reading moments like these was such a joy. Thank you for your work! 😭💕

Awww I am so incredibly happy you could enjoy that last chapter. Though I will say the next chapter is my heaviest (split by moments of light) so just be careful.

They took Caine's whimsy away :"( I kind of disliked the final chapter, not gonna lie.

How would AM react to chapter 9? At least at the knowledge of Caine being erased, being un-erased and just deciding to "control" himself to avoid upsetting his humans again?

Hii! Yes I disliked episode 9 too.

I think… AM would taunt him. Wherever he is, he would constantly try to get into his head and remind him that they don’t see him as an equal, no matter how many smiles or how many hugs he gets. They deleted him, accidentally or not, does it matter?

I think that AM also would’ve overtaken the circus, considering Caine is “weaker” now. Really sucks!

Caine blaming himself so viciously, to the point of rationalizing his own rape as a *good, deserved thing* has me tearing at the inside of my own chest to make the heartache hurt a bit less.

Now… question time. And oh god, I feel like I might regret some of these…

For the author:

Does ANY touch from someone put Caine on edge now, or just ones he doesn’t see coming? The idea of my boy never getting a hug has me screaming, crying and fucking throwing up.

Is Caine capable of hating anything or anyone (aside from himself)? His thoughts on AM seem almost stubbornly unwilling to see AM as in the wrong for the cruelty he has given Caine and I… oh the behavior of “defending your abuser” is so common for people whose trauma instinct is fawn and Cain… Caine is a newborn deer at this point

If you actually ever got the ability to create, what is the first thing you’d actually make/do?

Hes trying his best not to fall apart, no one taught him healthy coping mechanisms (dang it Kinger)

1.Caine is not touch averse, but the sensation of AM was still pretty fresh after Kinger held him so he freaked out for a little bit. Plus being in pain doesn’t help because he had no control over his surroundings. So I lean towards the latter.

Maybe with code he freaks out more.

2 spoilers I can’t tell you a straight answer. But Caine is very loving. It takes a lot for him to hate

Hey, I got a question about your design of AM! I know you said that it was inspired by Caine's design from "Caine is all mouth and must scream. [TADC PARODY]", but I gotta ask... Why are AM's eyelashes so stylish like he's wearing mascara? Not that I don't have an issue of course, but that detail just so happened to have caught my eye (pun not ENTIRELY intended) when I first saw the design.

Because he’s a diva.
