Hey may I have some writing advice? (Ignore if you don't want to I understand, it's not your job) but I have my main character and she's a demon and she can't have feelings for others. She has emotions and she can feel emotions for things you do (if you annoy her or if you hit her she'd be mad that you hit her but not mad at you) with this she feels no empathy. My friend thinks it's a bad idea and I know it's risky and I've heard your rants on Korra so I'd like your opinion, Thanks!
Hey I'm not above some advice. But I'm taking a risk here because this means my tumblr is going to fill up with everyone wanting advice on their horrible OCs! If you want my opinion it sounds a little played out. If I saw this in something I would have been like "Oh she can't have feelings? Lemme guess, she's gonna learn how to love." But I dunno. I don't know how you write, I haven't seen your work. If I see an apathetic character they better have a goal and do everything for that goal. The most recent example I can think of is Kumon Kaito from Kamen Rider Gaim, that's right I'm citin' some rider up in this bitch. Kaito only cares about strength and power. He doesn't care about people or their emotions, but he sees strength in people when they are truly strong. Not just physically but in spirit. There is respect for strength. Kaito becomes sympathetic because his quest is vain and arrogant, but he's doing it for the right reasons, to see a world where there the strong live, because if only the strong survive there are no weak people to be preyed upon. Characters need goals, and aspirations, all people have them. So focus on how your character achieves those goals and things will fall into place. And if I find out I just gave you a bunch of advice on some RP OC, I'll come to your house, eat the food out of your fridge, then throw you in a dumpster.
