Just feeling like I wanna ramble about my two favorite games atm.

I like to imagine Yuu rambling about the lore of Outlast to a few characters and here are my highlights of my thoughts:

Riddle taking notes when Yuu started to mention how outlast uses a lot of real life history to influence their games. And he went from taking notes to stopping when it starts heading to the horrific parts of history and he's just staring at Yuu in concern as Yuu continues to ramble about how we learn why the human body is 70% water and what inspired the horror movie, the human centipede, and then moves onto how minorities were targets for just about everything and anything. Then he just quietly mutters that's one way to keep history alive.

Azul having to stop Yuu from launching into the psychology side of Outlast and how it has some legit science behind it. He already got the history ramble of all things terrible, and while he wants to hear the psychology of it, he doesn't wanna hear how they found out/how they use it to hurt others more. Had to get Jade in to push Yuu out of the place because Floyd got bummed out and left after halfway through the history ramble and won't go near Yuu.

Lilia probably being the only one really talking to Yuu back and engaging in serious conversation. They also have a history swap where Yuu shares what happened in their world while Lilla goes over the tragedies they went through and have a very deep conversation about how times change, the importance of history and acknowledging how important it is to keep it alive and it's a way to keep the victims in mind of those affected by the tragedies. So it went from rampant rambles to real talks about very complex issues and both of them very happy they have each other to talk about history and overall serious topics.

Imma start this off by saying I know nothing abt Outlast personally but the concept and killers were always so cool to me.

I also really like thinking abt Yuu explaining modern/gen z/earth things to the TWST characters. Imagine explaining Philadelphian celebrations to them or the US in general. Or a lot of Carribean and Hispanic/Latino culture? Like can you imagine showing a Quadradinho to them? Or a cuter idea of explaining a quinceañera to them (and lowk imagine throwing one for Ortho cause he finds it cool and hey Yuu gets to share culture). Flores el patrón??? Amor Eterno at a party??

I mean cultural stuff in general is so beautiful in real life, like imagine telling them about Sundances and Monihei Festivals and Manjal Neerattu Vizha (idk if thats the right term sorry), Dia De Los Muertos (but Coco is disney so theybprob have it maybe) celebrations??

Or even simple brain rot and how a lot of dirty jokes or words are common vernacular. Even simple slang or magicless devices for mundane things? Having to explain that there's only humans too much be a huge trip— or if they do have mer/beast/faefolk Having them be completely different? Or maybe they have more monster like populations like zombies?

Anyways I got off-topic. I also wanted to say that I think abt a Yuu from an apocalyptic/Dystopian/ or just weird universe where stuff like Outlast/IdentityV/Until Dawn kinda shit occurs? Hunger games (which i mean the 'patriot games' in the US is gonna be a thing supposedly)?? Or even crazier stuff like super heros???

Idk i like putting Yuu in situations to put the others in Situations

thinking abt how ppl always want to say that there’s no stigma surrounding depression anymore because ~everyone’s depressed these days~, but ppl will literally say you’re lazy or childish or actually manipulative for expressing any of the thought distortions/social behaviours that come with depression.. acting like it’s a matter of common sense or something. if someone says they feel like everyone hates them, they know it isn’t literally true but it’s how they feel regardless. maybe it’s better to just comfort them in their moment of need instead of passive aggressively telling them it’s their job to break the thought cycle and they’re hurting others by being ungrateful for their love or whatever.. putting value judgements on symptoms & acting like it’s easy to just turn it off.. also. if someone is isolating themselves or whatever, they don’t need to be told that they’re making themselves feel worse and they need to form better habits and basically do more work to fix it for themselves.. like. they know that already lol. and if someone is hurting very badly in the moment, what they probably need is simple kindness and not cbt homework from a Friend? we’re always talking about not treating your friends as your therapists but also don’t try to treat your friends like clients!! idk i’ve done all this too i still do it i’m just trying to rethink how i approach people who r in pain.. just trying to be kind and help friends without the judgement

i am from

for an education class of mine, we had to write these little "i am from..." type poems. i originally wrote mine in a fugue-like, awful headspace. so, months later, i am rewriting it. it is me, and i am posting it here to be immortalized on tumblr. not my best writing but something fun and intrinsic to me

I am from… 

I am from late night calls, boisterous laughter, and loving friends. Delirious from exhaustion, flying across the country for a day by their sides. 

I am from letters exchanged, songs shared, and jokes passed at the darkest of times. An uplifting song, melodious and tranquil guiding me to better times. 

I am from a hunger for love, I am from greed as I sink my teeth in. I am from a constant yearning to be closer, I am never satisfied. I am from indulgent friends who give their love without restraint. 

I am from decorated walls, stickers pasted to places they should have never been, leaving a shadow on the paint in their wake. I am from vibrant colors, clay figures, and abstract art. I am from a chiding grandmother, laughter bouncing off the walls as she corrects my sewing. I am from her love of color, I am from her love of literature, I am from every piece of her. 

I am from religious symbols hung on slanted walls, songs of faith and fear. ‘Be not afraid’ on a red paint stamped angel, reclaiming the faith forced upon me. I am from strength, wisdom, spiritualism gifted to me in a body that I will inhabit for this life.

I am from the hands of the holy and dipped into a basin of water, and I have become something of ancient spiritualism, chosen for myself, sacred. 

I am from a heart swelling with pride, I am from those who came before me, bricks thrown for my freedom. I am from language dripping with hate used to describe my existence, I am an otter as it rolls off my back. I am impenetrable, I am not solo, I am millions living the same life as mine, communing, sharing, spreading love. 

I am spreading my wings, I am songs on the radio, I am light. I am indescribable, I am me. I am an angel spreading its wings for the first time, freed from its cage. I am from anger, I am from violence, I am from fear– yet I am not angry, I am not violent, I do not live in fear. 

I am from foxgloves, salmon streams, fields filled to the brim with buttercups and clover. I am from the ocean, I am from the moon. I watch her at night, a beacon in the sky, and I know I am from the wet earth, the whistling wind, trees older than this body of mine. I am from the song of frogs at night, leading me to the creek. 

I am from a child running through the fields, becoming a child in an adult's body galloping through them, the sound of thundering hooves and crunching grass. I am from the love of all life, enamored by the deer in the horizon, making and breaking eye contact as we tread our separate paths. 

I am from mosquito bites and sunburns and poison ivy. I am from aching muscles and the burn of the barely too hot shower on my skin. I am looking for the beauty in everything. I am the physical embodiment of forgiveness.

I am from Mother Nature, and I will go back to her at the end of it all. I am from the understanding of embracing this little life of mine, and I choose to live and love every day. I am from a chosen family that keeps me alive every day, love so strong it can only be described by the buzz of a guitar or the wet paint of paint on a canvas.

I am from the nurturing earth, the pains of childhood, the swell of love from friends, the persistence to keep going despite it all. I am from peace and repose. I am from it all, and I carry it with me everywhere.
