Mansfield Park is easily my least favorite Austen (Emma is my favorite). I too powered through it, but regretted it after lol.

oh lord.... well don't i feel motivated to finish it now lmao i feel like fanny has been in two and a half scenes, and edmund has left a lot to be desired so far. in the last chapter i read he wouldn't shut the fuck up about mary's lack of propriety in discussing her uncle, and then promptly forgot about fanny's existence for like a week straight

YES!!!

I someone missed it the first time around (because I was literally a child when the series was first airing lol) but roommate wanted to watch it so I figured I'd watch an episode or two and then peace out. Well 15 episodes later, here we are. :)

It's so good! I'm not even into all the alien-y stuff (though I did love Fringe) but I can see why people are obsessed with this show. Scully is an amazing badass and Mulder is like a little kid jumping from one hypothesis to the next. Very excited to continue watching!

Idk if this is why the song is pitched down, but it’s a common technique to avoid YouTube flagging a fanvid as copyrighted and, depending on the record label, blocking the video in some or all countries. (Big Machine would block in all countries; not sure what Taylor’s new label would do.)

Yeah big machine was big on blocking but I get the impression that Taylor is way more permissive now that she owns the songs. Still good to know thanks!

Justice for Susan! I love that you wrote an alternate ending for her at such a young age. (Meanwhile I found out what happened in the last book and refused to ever read it lmao.)

Sorry for the belated response to this!!! I'm terrible at getting to my inbox ;_;

I have grappled with Susan's ending for years and have written quite a few fanfics from her POV where I tried to make sense of it. I think my child-self was like "she'll get there someday" but I enjoy thinking about a number of different endings. Narnia is very important to me but it's also firmly planted in my childhood, if that makes sense--so sometimes I revisit it with questions I didn't have at the time.

The last book is very heavy and stark, I was so upset by it as a kid! But then I had times where I was In the Mood for It, haha. Same with The Magician's Nephew.
