Yesterday was our first screen print workshop in some time. It has been a while but the new bigger space means we can get our screens and squeegees out again. Thanks to print supremo Kirstie Burn for all her expert help. We will post up some of the results soon!

'Where We Come From’
This project consisted of her making a series of work based on a question, ‘If I could do anything for you in Palestine what would it be?’. This was for the Palestinians living in Palestine and to those exiled in Lebanon, Europe, Syria and America both rich and poor.Then she set out to fulfil their wishes explaining the reason as to why they couldn’t do what they were requesting their selves. Some reasons were because of not being able to cross the borders, peoples identification card etc.
I found this piece really though provoking and it just highlighted the difficulty that the Palestinians are facing day to day. Not being able to do little things such as visiting a family members grave. I think this is something that many have a connection with because of the nature of the subject.
